Michael Haluska and Maria Szkucska were married at St. Michael's in Passaic, 23 May 1908. In 1910 the family resided in Oxford, Warren County, New Jersey. They later moved to Ashland Pennsylvannia to mine Coal. The couple originated in Patakos Patskan'ova in present day Ukraine.
Seated: Vasyl Haluska (my great grandfather) Standing Left: Family friend Vasyl Hliba. Resided 15 Monroe Street. Vasyl Hliba was confirmed by his grand daughter Susan Kimble of Newton, N.J. Daughter of Irene Hliba/Kimble. My Haluska name was changed by *Vasyl's Son Charles abt.1932 when he married Ann Bumbak in Cliffside Park, NJ. Charles worked for the Erie Rail Road and moved to Cleveland,Ohio. Any help identifying the others would be appreciated.

*Obit for Charles: Charles Sr.,62, of 69 Pacific Av, Garfield, died yesterday at home after a long illness. Survivors are wife, Mary; daughter Mrs. Stephen Santo of Garfield, son Charles, Jr of Cleveland Ohio, two brothers Frank and Michael of Ashland Pa; sister Anna in West Virginia and five grandchildren. Mr Haluska came to Garfield from Czecho-Slovakia 45 years ago. He was formerly employed as a Watchman for Hartman Embroidery Co.,Garfield. He was a member of St. Michael's Society and St. Michael's Church.(The Herald News dated Feb 7, 1947)
